Peaceful moments. . .

Gathered here, are moments of peace during my Birthday and these I 'd like to share. There were also of course more intense emotions such as being extremely moved or feeling lots of love & passion.
Am choosing to emphasize peacefulness, as there must be this critical point in everybody's life, regardless of the actual age, that someone feels in full acceptance of his / her life. Of all the happiness and all the pain, of all the struggles and all the rewards, of all sucesses and all failures.

Peacefulness is again one of this internal qualities that cannot be faked or dublicated.....somebody knows that he/she is in peace when life situations are absolutely acceptable and considered as blessings despite their imperfections...
One is in peace when anger is dealt, when grief is felt, when envy is healed, when there is the abilitity to see the beauty of our own selves and at the same time have all the place of the world for a million other fabulous people, without being afraid of comparissons, understanding that there are areas where we will prevail and others that we won't.

Being in peace means finding, cultivating and living our talents. and sharing them with the world. It means seeing the talents of others and being able to appreciate them, without hiding behind our own fingers, out of fear of finding ourselves less.

Being in peace means doing our best to be the best that we can for us, free of the need to be better than others. As our own selves become our means of measuring.

Being in peace means working hard to aquire characteristics, that others we admire have, at the same time cherishing theirs.
Being in peace is knowing that in life there is justice, and all we have to do is embrace it and act towards acheiveing it.

This is to my loving parents, who brought me in this world, my wonderful life partner who is also a teacher and a friend to me at the same time and in the memory of the amazing woman who was my grandmother, a lady of big heart and kind acts.

  3. What a Brilliant post.. so well worded and thought out.

In Today's world "Peace" is the most sought after needful quality.

Even if one has tons of money, the best to live on earth, Even love and respect.. yet if there is no mental peace then nothing is worth it. LOVE will help you make it thru but without mental peace things just keep eating their way thru you.

That's what I pray for everyday, for everyone in this world.. mental peace.

How do bring peace in your daily life ivy? What routine do you follow? If at all there is a troublesome situation in your life how do you deal with it? And after dealing with it peacefully how do you bring your own pysche back to normal peaceful self?

Do you have any particular objects around the house which bring peace into your everyday life?

WOuld love to read your thoughts on those.

  5. Michelle, thank you very much for your wishes :)

    Vinita,

thank you for an extensive comment, that shows how deeply you go into the matters. Always, while reading your comments, I have the feeling and the impression that these are words written by a person who has already walked the path I' m walking and has already discovered a lot about inner self and notions such as peacefullness.

Your questions are very much to the point and see that in my wish to answer them, I need to be very committed almost daily, as there is not actually just one answer to be given.

Moreover, such issues need time to be unfolded, so people who are only now becoming familiar with such a way of thinking, have the time to absorb and to practice in their daily lives.

Just as a start of your inquiry, let me just tell you that there are no oblects that perform any specific function. As simple as that, all the objects which exist in the place where I live, are carefully chosen, very loved and the same time very often, functional in a practical way.Clutter is avoided and therefore, new objects come into our lives with extreme care and not with a consumer's hunger.

I' m very aware that would I buy everything I like, this would result into too many things and would be a loss of energy, as money should be used in many more other ways than just buying products.
There is no need to own evrything I like. I am satisfied with a few and can still go on admiring the beauty of something when it belongs to someone else or simply just not to me.

And as a second part to your question, apart from often meditating or exercising yoga and walking, I try to engage into activities meaningful to me throughout the whole duration of the day.
There is not one procedure, life itself as it happens and the way I live it, is a procedure towards peacefullness on its own.

Just paying attention to everything that happens is enough to bring fullfilness in everyday life, as life itself is magic and a blessing.
